Dennis Taylor – Enough Is Enough

Following his breakthrough with ‘Enough Is Enough’, Dennis Taylor released his debut album of the same title. From the team of Fred McFarlane and Darryl James this 13-track album ranges from the infectious vibe of ‘Smile’ and the street R&B cut ‘You Know Just When’ to the slow jam feel of ‘Angel’ and ‘Rock U Good’.

Other strong R&B grooves are ‘Out of Control’, ‘Bad As You Wanna Be’ and ‘Can You Do It’, while the quality ballads continue with ‘Yesterday’, the duet ‘Should I’ – with newcomer India T – and the Kenny Gamble- Bunny Sigler song ‘Love Need and Want’, originally recorded by Patti Labelle. Two up-tempo cuts complete the package – ‘Here I Am’ and ‘Don’t Give Up’.

The Taylor vocal style has a hint of Barry White and Teddy Pendergass from yesteryear, as well as Donnell Jones and Will Downing from today.
